This is Going to be YOUR Year
Few things beat the rush and excitement of starting a New Year. And we don’t know about you, but this one feels extra significant — maybe because it’s the beginning of a new decade!
Whatever the reason, right about now you’re probably thinking, how do I make 2020 my best year yet? How do I accomplish my goals, all while having an unforgettable time?
New Year, New Adventures
It’s almost here! In a few short days, we’re going to be watching the ball drop, sipping a flute of Champagne (or two) and maybe even giving someone a midnight kiss. 😉
Before you start gearing up for the night, why not think about what you want out of 2020? And no worries if you’re not exactly sure — we have some ideas to help you in your New Year journey!
A Holiday Wish for You
Season’s Greetings!
From stringing lights to wrapping gifts, this is a joyous (and busy!) time of year.
On behalf of our Savvy Team, I want to take a moment to thank you for being part of this special community and for welcoming us into your inbox, Instagram and Facebook, and life.
You make what we do every single day so much fun and rewarding.
Before You Ring in 2020, Do This
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile you could miss it.” – Ferris Bueller
As the end of the year rolls around it seems everyone’s talking about resolutions, goals and how we can do and be more. Which is wonderful!
But with the excitement of all this newness, it’s easy to forget how far we’ve come and what the past year has done for us.
When the Holidays Aren’t so Happy
While there’s so much to love about this time of year — peppermint mochas, ugly sweater parties, and holiday movies that never grow old — there’s one thing that has many of us feeling dread … uncomfortable questions.
Stay Calm and Holiday On
The holiday season, aka the most wonderful time of the year, is officially here.
There’s a good chance you’re making a list (and of course checking it twice!) of all the decorating, gift buying, card-sending and holiday festivities you’ll be partaking in over the next few weeks.
Just thinking about it quite possibly has your head spinning!
Little Loving Gestures That Go a Long Way
As one of our readers, we have a hunch that you have a giving spirit. But sometimes it can be easy to get caught up in the mundane day-to-day or to get overwhelmed thinking of all the places where you could possibly donate your time or money.
The good news is you don’t have to break the bank, skimp on sleep or spend hours of extra time to do plenty of good in this world.
Let Yourself Off the Hook
You know the handful of emails you wanted to send off before the weekend? Those texts you were planning on replying to? And the dinner you were going to cook tonight?
Skip it. Let them go. Order takeout instead!
Why, oh, why would we suggest such a crazy thing?
Love What You’ve Got
“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” – Oprah Winfrey
There’s a tendency to want more in life — more time, more money, more friends, more bigger, better, whatever …
Who wouldn’t want their dream home, all the time in the world for hobbies and passion projects, and a roster-full of friends just waiting to come over for a glass of wine?
