There’s a lot of tension swirling around right now. Can you feel it too?
With so much heaviness happening in the world, it might feel like you’re not allowed to enjoy yourself and feel grateful and happy — especially without feeling guilty about it.
While it’s always important to acknowledge what’s going on around the world (we don’t live under rocks, after all!), you’re still allowed to take delight in things that make you smile and feel good.
Allowing ourselves to feel happy not only helps our own minds and souls, but happiness is contagious and our being happy lifts the spirits of those around us. Feeling good is good for you, and everyone you encounter!
So this weekend, give yourself permission to do something that brings you joy, like:
- Go on a hike and stop for a picnic lunch.
- Bake something delicious with in-season apples.
- Sip a glass of sparkling water (or vino) while dreaming up post-pandemic plans.
- Write a hand-written note to someone you love.
Enjoy the beauty of nature and the special people in your life, and when a smile pops on your face, embrace it. You deserve to feel sunshine, even if there’s darkness in the sky.
And if you’re feeling overwhelmed, and struggling to feel happy, positive, grateful and at peace, consider signing up for our 30-day Feel-Good Challenge. Together we’re prioritizing our happiness, taking back our peace of mind and taking time each day to feel good.
Here’s to finding happiness and feeling good!
XO,
Savvy Team
