So many big, crazy things are happening right now that you may feel like what you do isn’t significant, or what you say doesn’t make an impact.
But you matter, today and every day. You matter to your friends. You matter to your family. You matter to your children (and fur babies!). You matter to the waiter you tip and the delivery person you greet with a smile. You matter to your coworkers, neighbors and the charities you donate to.
You make such an impact with the work you do (whether that’s at home or at the office), and in your relationships, that people likely depend on your joy, confidence and uplifting spirit to brighten up their days, give them hope and make them feel good.
You play a big role in this word and it’s important to remember that!
If you’re in need of a reminder of just how much you matter, this weekend take a moment and …
1. Write out a list. Yes, it sounds silly, but jot down who you matter to and why. Putting pen to paper forces you to think deeper. Then read over the list again and again so it really sinks in.
2. Write down three things you can do that will make a positive difference in someone’s life. Maybe it’s calling a friend who’s been going through a tough time, sending an email to support a cause you believe in, or ordering a bouquet of flowers for your mom just because. Then, act on one of those ideas.
You’re amazing and you make our world a better place. Don’t ever forget it!
