There are two kinds of secrets: Ones to keep (like what your best friend confided in you over wine last week) and those to let loose — like the fact you’ve always wanted to write a book!
It can feel scary to let out your “big goal” secret, but once you do, you take the first step to making it real.
Saying it out loud creates momentum and things begin to happen. And you can’t manifest if you’re holding something close to your chest. You gotta let it loose and give it to the universe!
The key is to pick the right person to share it with. Someone you trust, who isn’t judgmental and will champion you. This isn’t the time to confide in any Debbie Downer or Negative Nelly friends.
Take a sip of liquid courage if you need and share away … It’ll feel so good to admit to your dream and know you’re now one step closer to making it a reality.
Don’t let the fear of failure scare you from sharing either. Like J.K. Rowling said in her Harvard commencement speech, “It is impossible to live without failing at something unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.”
So your mission, Savvy one, if you choose to accept it: Share a secret dream or goal you have with someone you trust. Stop stifling, get it off your chest and start setting that secret free and in motion.
Good things come to those who have the courage to ask for them. And yes, you deserve it. 🙂
Have fun spilling the beans!
