We all have a voice inside telling us we’re good, bad, or in the right or wrong, and sometimes our “inner critic” comes in even louder than usual. It’s important to pay attention to how we speak to ourselves and recognize when we’re engaging in negative self-talk.
The next time you notice you’re being hard on yourself, ask yourself, “Would I say this to a friend?”
If the answer is ‘no’ then let that thought go.
We often treat our loved ones with much more kindness and compassion than we treat ourselves. And that has to change … because nothing good comes from being hard on ourselves.
