Hello Beautiful Savvies,
The holidays are here, bringing magic, good tidings and cheer.
On behalf of our small (yet mighty!) Savvy Miss team I want to take a moment and thank you for welcoming us into your inbox and life. This has been an exciting past few months for us since our re-launch and we look forward to getting to know you more on Instagram and Facebook, growing with you and showing you what we’ve got in store for 2019.
I know our “to-do” lists run long this time of year, but I want to share these four ways to make your holidays even brighter:
- Be Merry and Bright.
Take a cue from children and allow yourself to feel the excitement, joy and wonder surrounding this season.
Sing out loud, dance around, throw snowballs and try not to take things so seriously.
Joy is infectious. Spread it with reckless abandon.
- Love More.
Love yourself.
Love your friends.
Love your family.
Love your neighbors (even the ones you disagree with politically!)
Love is what this time of year is truly about, so love this world and every soul in it even more.
- Give Freely.
Give what you can to those who don’t have as much.
Give compliments.
Give hugs.
Give people the benefit of the doubt.
Give yourself a break and a pat on the back for the amazing woman you are and for all you do.
Give up grudges.
Here are more ways you can give back.
- Get Swept up in the Spirit of the Season.
Cozy up by a fire.
Savor the smell of Christmas trees and sight of twinkling lights.
Kick back and devour cookies sans guilt!
Get swept away in the magic of the season and traditions that make you happy.
I have no doubt I’ll be watching Love Actually and Meet Me in St. Louis for the gazillionth time while nibbling my mom’s holiday chocolate-chip graham cracker cookies. 🙂
This is a magical time of year. Enjoy every moment, because like a snowflake in all its unique beauty it’ll be gone too quickly.
Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy and love-filled holiday!
With love and gratitude,
Emily, Leslie, Sarah, Tina, Katie & Brooke – The Savvy Miss Team
P.S. In case you want to try my mom’s cookies yourself, here’s the recipe!
