Merry, Happy Everything

Happy Holidays!

On behalf of our Savvy Miss team, I want to take a moment and thank you for welcoming us into your inbox and life. 2020 has been like no other year and we’re honored you joined us in doing our best to create more joy, self-love, and ease in our lives.

This year, we were thrilled to launch our new EveryDay Happy Show podcast (a true labor of love!) and your enthusiasm and support have meant so much to us. Thank you for helping us spread the good word by sharing it with friends and taking a moment to give us 5-stars on iTunes

This holiday will no doubt be different for most of us — and if you’re like us, that probably brings a whole mixed bag of emotions, especially because this “most wonderful time of year” will look so out of the ordinary.

If you haven’t yet heard Episode 10 of EveryDay Happy Show, I share four ways to navigate the 2020 holidays and how you can find joy in a simpler holiday season.

You can listen here: How to Approach and Get the Most Out of the Holidays This Year.

I hope this episode helps you feel more peace, love, and joy during this different holiday season.

I know our “to-do” lists run long this time of year, but I want to also share these four ways to make your holidays even brighter:

1.  Be Merry and Bright.

Take a cue from children and allow yourself to feel the excitement, joy, and wonder surrounding this season.

Sing out loud, dance around, throw snowballs and try not to take things so seriously.

Joy is infectious. Spread it with reckless abandon.

2.    Love More.

Love yourself.

Love your friends.

Love your family.

Love your neighbors (even the ones who you don’t always agree with politically!).

Love is what this time of year is truly about, so love this world and every soul in it even more.

3.  Give Freely.

Give what you can to those who don’t have as much.

Give compliments.

Give hugs.

Give people the benefit of the doubt.

Give yourself a break and a pat on the back for the amazing person you are and for all you do.

Give up grudges.

4.  Get Swept up in the Spirit of the Season.

Cozy up by a fire.

Savor the smell of Christmas trees and the sight of twinkling lights.

Kick back and devour cookies sans guilt!

Get swept away in the magic of the season and traditions that make you happy.

This is a magical time of year. Enjoy every moment, because like a snowflake in all its unique beauty it’ll be gone too quickly.

Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy, and love-filled holiday!

Emily, Leslie, Sarah, and the Savvy Team

Make Time for Your Dreams

Make Time for Your Dreams

What’s one thing you could do that would make this year stand out from the rest and make you feel like you took a big leap in your life?

These days, many of us are so pressed for time that we give ourselves few moments to do what actually excites us. But even if your day feels impossibly stuffed, you can make time for what really matters.

Sounds nice, but how, you may be wondering? I’m so happy you asked!

You Are Enough, Right Now

You Are Enough, Right Now

Some days you may feel like you’re not good enough, or doing enough. You may wish you could snap your fingers and turn into a version of yourself you think you should be with a perfect job, spotless house, and exciting hobbies (or whatever your definition of an ideal life may be).

But here’s something you need to know … You are wonderful, just as you are. You are enough, right now.

7 Ways To Add More Happiness To Your Day

7 Ways To Add More Happiness To Your Day

Imagine rolling out of bed with a smile on your face, laughing throughout your day, and going to bed feeling calm and content?

While not every day will be sunshine and rainbows, there are so many things you can do to add more joy to each day.

Here are seven of my favorite ways:

A Less Stress Summer

A Less Stress Summer

Summer is synonymous with relaxation, but sometimes we find ourselves stressed out and not living our best, “feet in the sand, good book in hand,” season.

Worries happen to all of us. But, one of the easiest ways to feel more carefree is to take a moment to declutter your brain. Because here’s the deal: Our brain can only handle so many thoughts at once. Anything extra bouncing around distracts you from enjoying otherwise happy moments.

Here’s how:
