Let’s Get Back to Reality

How’s 2020 treating you so far? Are you drinking your green juice, clocking in at the gym and moving forward with your resolutions?

Or … are you fighting a cold, still working your way through your Christmas chocolate stash and just beginning to move forward with your big 2020 plans?

On our team call this week, we realized that after weeks of holiday gatherings, houseguests and indulgences, we all were craving a return to a normal routine. We also discovered we were a bit behind on our 2020 intentions.

Can you relate?

If you too are feeling like we’re 10 days into 2020 and you’re just now getting ready to kick-off your big goals and resolutions, not to mention, settle into some routine, here are three simple ways to help you get back to reality.

1. Remember that the year is long.

If you’re feeling behind on your 2020 goals and resolutions (or you’ve changed your mind and decided to swap them out for new ones!) remember that the year is long. You get 365 chances to change up your life and it’s never too late to get started.

So what if you didn’t start your desired daily 30-mins of cardio on January 1? If it’s something you still want to do, start now!

2. Put away your holiday stuff.

Chances are you’re ready to move forward with the New Year — and you still have holiday remnants hanging around. Dedicate time this weekend to finally take down those holiday lights, toss out (or donate) any lingering holiday sweets and put away those decorations.

3. Be gentle with yourself.

The holidays can take it out of us — same with the excitement of a New Year. If you’re recovering from a cold or just feeling a bit rundown, give yourself permission to take it easy. Your juice cleanse, gym time and side hustle can wait.

You’re not going to get anything done well anyway if you’re burnt out, so put everything that’s not urgent on hold and get some extra sleep and rest up.

We hope your year is off to an amazing start, but if it isn’t going as spectacular as planned, don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to get to where you want to be. And you will. 🙂

Have a wonderful weekend!

XO

Make Time for Your Dreams

Make Time for Your Dreams

What’s one thing you could do that would make this year stand out from the rest and make you feel like you took a big leap in your life?

These days, many of us are so pressed for time that we give ourselves few moments to do what actually excites us. But even if your day feels impossibly stuffed, you can make time for what really matters.

Sounds nice, but how, you may be wondering? I’m so happy you asked!

You Are Enough, Right Now

You Are Enough, Right Now

Some days you may feel like you’re not good enough, or doing enough. You may wish you could snap your fingers and turn into a version of yourself you think you should be with a perfect job, spotless house, and exciting hobbies (or whatever your definition of an ideal life may be).

But here’s something you need to know … You are wonderful, just as you are. You are enough, right now.

7 Ways To Add More Happiness To Your Day

Imagine rolling out of bed with a smile on your face, laughing throughout your day, and going to bed feeling calm and content?

While not every day will be sunshine and rainbows, there are so many things you can do to add more joy to each day.

Here are seven of my favorite ways:

A Less Stress Summer

A Less Stress Summer

Summer is synonymous with relaxation, but sometimes we find ourselves stressed out and not living our best, “feet in the sand, good book in hand,” season.

Worries happen to all of us. But, one of the easiest ways to feel more carefree is to take a moment to declutter your brain. Because here’s the deal: Our brain can only handle so many thoughts at once. Anything extra bouncing around distracts you from enjoying otherwise happy moments.

Here’s how:
